For a Swiss premium cosmetics project, the packaging had to communicate restraint, precision, and durability from the first touch. The brief called for a full-black presentation box with a textured, fingerprint-resistant appearance that could support a clean, refined presentation through handling and display.
The surface also needed to resolve a demanding visual contrast: anti-scratch matte lamination, Spot-UV linework, and gold foil stamping had to work together without making the design feel crowded or inconsistent. Structurally, the magnetic flip-top box needed to present a square, upright silhouette, with strong closure feedback, smoothly wrapped edges, and controlled corner finishing. Inside, the black EVA insert had to protect the cosmetic product while preserving the disciplined black-and-gold visual language.
The PackTonTon Engineering Team developed the box around a 1200g double-greyboard core covered with 157g double-coated paper. This combination provides a firm structural foundation for the magnetic flip-top format and supports a clean, upright presentation.
